Hello

It has been a long while since i have posted a blog, I want you to know that i am in need of some prayer. I have been struggling with checking out the last month of our trip. I ask that whoever reads this would say some prayers for me and my team. The temptation is strong.

On other news, my ministry has been playing soccer with a group of guys. We play each morning and play for a few hours. It has been great times and the guys are really starting to accept me as a teammate. It has been tough some mornings to get up as early as they do and be out there with them. It is deffinetly a struggle.

I have also been working with a youth group at a nearby church. Last weekend we went to Big Bend with the youth. They ministered to the church in that town and did dramas and dances it was great to watch them. I have been learning alot though working with the Youth pastor at this chruch and also with Chelsea and JB. They are great to work with and to see their strengths as we do ministry togther.

I have another prayer request and that is for our retreat. We are taking the youth on a retreat in a few weeks and i pray that there will be life change and that God will grab some of these kids and create true worshippers. I am very excited about this weekend it will be alot of fun.

This summer has been flying by! I cant believe July is almost over. Ahhhh exciting because that means september is coming. As much as i am looking forward to going to Africa i am just as excited to meet all of you that i get to join with in Christ's mission.  I want to get to know more of you, and i dont get on the blog page as much as i should, so i want to give everyone my email and we can send emails also.   satanhatesme2@yahoo.com and by the way this email name SATAN HATES ME is becoming so real for me, satan has been attacking me like crazy these past few months. I am sure he wont stop and i am ready for it but please keep praying for me and my struggles. I have been prayig for our group and will start praying for individuals as we get closer. God has helped me realise that when i pray for someone my heart for them begins to grow for them and my love for them can start. so thats what i will be doing. 

Well i hope to hear from some of you, have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the times where all you want to do is worship our God.

I had this idea about missions that has been totally crushed!! I thought that since i obeyed God and since I feel His favor on the decision about going to Africa, that it should be all "up hill" but i have quickly found out that alot of times God's favor comes with pain and inconvenience. I have been reading about Mary and about how she was favored by God, but as I studied more I realized, at such a young age she went through so much. She becam pregnant out of marriage, She was not only pregnant, but pregnant with God! WOW!!!  I cant imagine the treatment that her town gave her for being so unfaithful to Joseph, for getting pregnant before they got married with someone elses child. Then she almost lost the man she loved, but through this she was obedient and prayed to God for His strength and He was faithful in giving her what she needed. From reading that i realize that being favored by God doesnt always mean favors from God.  He will give me exactly what i need when i need it. I need to remain obedient through the struggles that i go through and continue prasing Him.

So with Africa coming, and with all the things we need to do to get ready, remember that Our GOD is faithful and will be with us through it all. He is a God that is all about intamacy with us. I have been reading these lyrics to a song that a friend from high school wrote and it has been my prayer for the past week, i thought someone else might like to read it.
